A radish really brightens up your plate and brings a summery feel to it. Radishes are available all year round, all over the world. They contain plenty of vitamins and are very low in calories.
Due to their peppery flavour, they go well with some sweet alternatives, like for example an orange. Their rather crispy but light texture complements well with a softer, salty cheese, it will give more body to this salad.
Presented in a glass it will look more fancy and serves as a side dish with some paté and bread for lunch. A salad like this, with plenty of expressive flavours, just needs a simple dressing by emphasizing just one of the ingredients, in this case the orange, it will be reinforced by adding a bit of juice from a freshly squeezed orange to the olive oil.

Radish and orange salad
1 serving (just multiply the quantities for more servings)
Ingredients:
2 leaves romaine lettuce, cut in thin strips
4 radishes, sliced thin
1 orange, peeled, sliced thin
feta cheese to garnish
Dressing:
2 tsp olive oil
1 tsp orange juice, fresh
Salad:
1. In a transparent glass, cover bottom of glass with lettuce
2. On top of lettuce, create a layer of thin radish slices, followed by a layer of orange slices, repeat this with remaining ingredients
3. Garnish with crumbled feta cheese
Dressing:
4. In a bowl, combine olive oil and orange juice and stir well; drizzle dressing over salad.
Serve salad with some paté and toast.
Enjoy!
Tip: the sweet taste of the orange and the dressing will complement well the paté as this is usually served with something sweet, like for example dried fruits.
